The feather denotes the soul. The soul's quest is Truth, Lightness, the Heavens - which the feather represents. It is height, weightlessness, space, and flight or journey to other realms. It is associated with the elements of wind and air. The feathered robes of shamans give power of flight to other realms and power to undertake knowledge-gaining journeys. It assists in prayer, contemplation and communication with other worlds, the next world. Purple Zircon represents resilience and sustaining high ideals, while the Amethyst stones represent the Celestial realm, and connects the wearer with her Divine Source. Garnet brings grace. It is the stone of abundance and prosperity and opens one to limitless nurturing and gifts from Divine Treasures.
I am a sculptor working in copper and silver, and enjoy doing larger than life size work, as well as beautiful jewelry.
The continent of Africa is rich in its abundant sources of gems, semi-precious stones and precious metals and inspires me to share this beauty, originaly buried away from sight, with women the world over. The metaphor for precious and semi-precious stones relate to the hidden treasures residing within each woman, no matter who she is or where she finds herself. Wearing these stones is likened to "mining" the wonderful attributes we have within, simply waiting to be expressed!
It is my hope that you too may discover your unique gems of heavenly treasures within, so you can mirror the Self you are meant to be and bring your precious light to this world.
